Alright, hey there! I’m Kimmithy, a Korean-American illustrator and character designer who’s been a part of the furry fandom for a nice, humble 22 years (yep, I’m one of the old-timers now). I’m agender with masculine features, but my sex is male. Gender’s not something that defines me, though—it’s just a part of who I am. Honestly, I think labels are overrated, so I try not to box myself in. I also happen to be gay, and that’s just another thing I’m open about. It’s not something I feel the need to shout from the rooftops, but I’m not hiding it either. You do you, I do me—we’re all good.

 

As for my fursona, it’s a shape-shifting slime. Why a slime? Well, because I can never stick to one character. I love creating new ones all the time. But the slime represents something more for me—it’s fluid, adaptable, and it doesn’t get stuck in one form. Plus, it’s just chill. Slimes are all about being whatever they need to be, and that kind of matches how I feel about life and identity. Just go with the flow.

 

When it comes to art, I’m a big believer in freedom of expression. Art shouldn’t be censored or restricted. I don’t think there’s a “right” way to create; if it’s coming from you, it’s valid. Some people might not get it, and they might want to shut it down, but fuck that. We all have the right to express ourselves in whatever way feels right, no matter how controversial or out there it might be. Art is personal, and it’s about sharing what’s inside, whether it’s pretty or messy.

 

Now, I’ll admit, I’ve seen the new wave of furries come in, and while I might not always understand the latest memes or trends (I’m definitely showing my age), I have nothing but respect for the creativity and energy that the newer generation brings. I try to be a good role model and show that no matter how much the fandom evolves, it’s always about being true to yourself and supporting each other.
